The Pocosin Arts Gallery
The mission of Pocosin Arts
is connecting culture to the
environment through the arts.
The exhibits in the Pocosin Arts Gallery reflect this mission,
with a
permanent display of the traditional arts and folk craft of the people
of the pocosin region of eastern North Carolina. The gallery also
features temporary exhibits, often organized by theme, featuring the
current work of Pocosin Arts program participants, teachers, and
other
regional artists whose work exemplifies our mission. Its

March 19th through May 22nd, 2010 ![]() The exhibit displays work resulting from Book Arts workshops and programs of Pocosin Arts. Bob Ebendorf, Lisa Beth Robinson, Carol Owen, Martha Burdette, and Allen Lee are some of our featured teaching artists. The exhibit shows handcrafted journals and sketchbooks as well as altered books, including those by Columbia High School students who participated in a book altering workshop led by Allen Lee.

In addition to local and regional art and craft, Pocosin Arts offers fair trade handmade gift items from Ten Thousand Villages. These items are resourcefully made from recycled and natural materials by creative peoples from all over the world.
